Hu Hanzhou: Ensuring energy supply is strong and effective, and the consumption structure continues to improve

In the first three quarters of this year, my country's energy sector has thoroughly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on energy supply guarantees, focused on energy security and supply, accelerated the release of advanced production capacity, and continuously improved energy supply capabilities. With the implementation of a package of policies to stabilize the economy and subsequent policy measures, the national economy continues to recover and develop, energy consumption grows steadily, and the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption continues to increase.
1. Energy production remains stable
In the first three quarters, the major industries above designated size [1] include kerosene, gas, electricity, etc. The production of energy products has maintained steady growth. Looking at types:
Raw coal production is growing rapidly. Coal production enterprises continue to increase their efforts to increase production and ensure supply, expand high-quality incremental supply, and give full play to their role as a bottom-line guarantee. In the first three quarters, the output of industrial raw coal above designated size was 3.32 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%, and the growth rate was 7.5 percentage points faster than the same period last year.
Oil and gas production has grown steadily. Oil and gas companies continue to consolidate the good momentum of increasing reserves and production to ensure the foundation of independent oil and gas supply. In the first three quarters, the crude oil output of industrial enterprises above designated size was 153.75 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%; the natural gas output was 160.1 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%.
Electric power production is stable and orderly. In the first three quarters, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size was 6.3 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%. Among them, thermal power generation was 4.4 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%; clean energy power generation such as hydropower, nuclear power, wind power and solar power was 1.9 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%.
2. The energy consumption structure continues to improve
According to preliminary estimates, total energy consumption in the first three quarters increased by 2.5% year-on-year. . The proportion of non-fossil energy consumption in total energy consumption increased by 0.6 percentage points compared with the same period last year, the proportion of coal increased by 0.4 percentage points, the proportion of oil decreased by 0.7 percentage points, and the proportion of natural gas decreased by 0.3 percentage points.
